The Mill on Etowah
Mahj at the Mill is a group of MahJong enthusiasts/friends who gather a couple of times a week to share tiles, swap stories, and enjoy each other’s company.
We meet at The Mill on Etowah, a vibrant mixed-use destination nestled in the heart of Canton, Georgia and we would like to invite you to an Open Play during The Day.
Once a historic denim mill, The Mill has been thoughtfully transformed into a lively hub of restaurants, shops, breweries, and community spaces — all set along the scenic banks of the Etowah River.
With its inviting outdoor green space, relaxed atmosphere, and walkable layout, The Mill provides the perfect setting for social gatherings like Mahjong on the Green. Whether you're joining a game, grabbing lunch with friends, or exploring the local boutiques, The Mill on Etowah offers a warm, welcoming place to connect, play, and unwind.

Do I need to register to play?
Yes. Registration is required to reserve your spot, and space is limited. Sign up early to ensure your seat at the table!
Who can participate?
All levels of Mahjong players are welcome — from beginners learning the ropes to experienced players looking for a friendly game.
Where will the event be located?
We play “On the Green” at The Mill on Etowah in Canton, GA, a beautiful outdoor space surrounded by local shops and eateries.?
What if the weather is inclimate?
No worries! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the games inside The Mill, so play continues rain or shine. This is why registration is important as the inside space does have some limitations!
Do I need to bring anything?
If you have a Mahjong set, feel free to bring it (or have it as back-up in your vehicle :-)— but it’s not required. We’ll have sets available for play.
Is there any cost involved?
There’s no fee to play, but registration is required. We strongly encourage the players to stay for lunch afterward to support the local restaurants at The Mill. We will have menus available if you would like to order for pick-up so you can eat outdoors at the wide range of available outdoor seating.
